I never wanted to post on here about this place because I always felt like it was my little secret, but it's time for the world to know what I know. I was one of their first customers probably nine or 10 years ago (maybe more, can't remember). Actually, I think I was their first customer, but I digress. I worked in the area, so I was very glad to have a place open up to get a drink after work for happy hour with my colleagues. So I walked in the day they opened early for lunch and there was a gentleman behind the bar named Jerome. He greeted me, let me know they had just worked months to get the place ready to open and thanked me for coming in and giving them an opportunity. After ordering, he served me a cold beer and I got a Cheeseburger (this later became know as the infamous "Elbow Room Special"). Beer was super cold, burger was great, and they had every sports channel you could think of. I thought I hit the lotto. Before leaving he asked if I worked in the area. After confirming he asked if I could help spread the word about them.
Fast forward 9-10 years, and the same great staff, food and drinks are ever-present. I can't even begin to count the number of my close friends and family I have brought through and the memories established over the years as a result. But there's something that really sets this place apart. You see, you can get good food, good beer, and even watch sports at many places today (yes, even in this COVID environment). But what you can't get everywhere is consistency. The staff at elbow room really make you feel at home. It really shows if you ever ask them how long they've been working there. The common response you'll get is 5+ years. That really says a lot about a restaurant and bar to be able to retain staff at those lengths. They treat their customers like family and and they treat their staff like family too. Today you will still receive the same great service by one of the cornerstones of the establishment - Jody, Thao, Janna, Sara, Ashley, and you might even be blessed by the presence of Kimberly once in a while (don't worry, she only bites a little :)
Do yourself a favor - stop by, introduce yourself and say hi, grab a bite and a cocktail. Chances are you will realize that you will be the one writing this review in 10 years after you come to the conclusion that this is going to be your new "spot".
